Knowing how emotional Life is Strange can be, chapters were a good mechanic to implement in place of episodes. Instead of episodes, players will work through chapters that allow them breathing room between each part of the story if necessary. While the episodic aspect of Life is Strange may be gone in the upcoming game, it’s still divided up. A non-episodic approach to the story will make sure that players can maintain their connections to all characters. Instead, lesser connections were lost or forgotten, which could have a big impact on the story if players chose incorrectly. Connecting to the main character is important, but that relationship wasn’t the one that would fade with passing time. However, some of the connection to characters could be lost in the wait time for a new episode. Life is Strange is known for its characters as well as its memorable story.
